On-Site Services (OTS)

TMI is ALWAYS AT YOUR SERVICE…ON-SITE!

There has been an increasing trend by companies of all sizes to evaluate their options for the service and support of their test and measurement equipment.  This support includes the calibration, repair and asset management of their test and measurement equipment.

Many of the largest companies have been evaluating the options of outsourcing this support as an alternative to running their own accredited calibration labs.  Many of these companies have decided that it is not cost effective to run their own test equipment service and support systems.  These companies have determined that it is best to concentrate on their core business and not something that is not their specialty.   The vendor selection process for these outsource opportunities usually include factors such as the requirement for ISO 17025 Certification, full-service capabilities with a broad scope of capabilities, competitive pricing and web based asset management.  Many of the largest companies with multiple locations also want to standardize their calibration support and asset management program for all locations so a vendor with multiple locations or the ability to support multiple locations is a very important factor.

The outsourcing options range from hiring an ISO 17025 Certified calibration company to provide depot level support with pick-up and delivery service to the local lab, temporary on-site service, or permanent on-site support through an OTS (On-site Technical System).  Each company has unique requirements and may require a combination of these services to handle their test equipment support program.

In addition to the calibration and repair services, many of these companies also need to implement an Asset Tracking Program to assist in the recall and utilization of their test equipment assets.  A proper Asset Tracking Program not only assures the timely calibration of the test equipment pool, it also helps to best utilize corporate asset by increasing utilization and minimizing the need for short term rentals and new product acquisitions. These improved efficiencies will reduce capital expenses for additional equipment and expense money required for test equipment rentals.  An effective web based Asset Management Program and Instrument Recall Program is also very useful during corporate audits to provide historical data for all assets.

To satisfy the above mentioned requirements TMI has created an OTS (On-Site Technical Services) program.  Through this program TMI can setup and maintain your entire calibration program for your company at your business site.  We have dedicated technicians who can tailored programs to fit your company’s unique requirements.  The OTS Program includes the following services:
